HOMEWORK CORNER
1. Independent Reading Grid p.42-47 2. iReady: 3 lessons by TOMORROW (This week's total: 9) 3. Achieve: See tracker DUE TODAY All prerequisite lessons prior to Lesson 12. Standard: RL 7.3 Objective: SWBAT characterize Mercedes, and explain why London has included her in this section of the text. PREPARED: DIRECT/COLLABORATIVE 1. Students will immediately begin to prepare for collaborative discussion, using the structure provided on page 4 of their Lesson 11 packet. 2. We will speak approximately 20 minutes discussing the essential question: Why did London include the character Mercedes in The Call of the Wild? 3. Students will have time to reflect on their participation and the effectiveness of the discussion. Students will be given a PARTICIPATION GRADE for Collaborative Discussion. CFS is here. 4. Exit Ticket (CEEEEL paragraph) After finishing Lesson 11, we will spend whatever time is left in class reading p.38-41 and starting Lesson 12 (What theme about nature is developed in this section?). We will do our personal best to complete both Lessons 11 and 12 today! UNPREPARED: INDEPENDENT Continue your makeup work!!!!! Unprepared students will be given demerits and detention.
