HOMEWORK CORNER
Please have your signed syllabus and materials turned in by Friday, August 17. DUE TODAY Nothing...yet. Standards Review of 6th Grade HISTORY standards. Objectives 1. SWBAT demonstrate their current reading abilities by taking the iReady diagnostic assessment. 2. SWBAT review 6th grade Ancient Civilizations by creating a symbolic body poster. Do Now- 10 minutes Students will be provided with their log in information and will be asked to log onto the computers. We will take the first 10 minutes of class to log on and get through the Z-Scaler portal. When finished, students will read silently. Independent- 50 minutes Students will spend half of class taking the iReady diagnostic test for Reading. We will go through a brief presentation explaining how the test works. Students will be taking the test on the computer silently and independently. We will continue testing tomorrow. Collaborative- 50 minutes Ms. Francavillo will introduce the mini-project. In this project, students will be reviewing an ancient civilization from 6th grade and creating a symbolic body poster to represent the culture of the civilization. Groups will be presenting on Friday. We will also be creating a giant timeline to help us review BCE and CE/AD!
